Hardscape and landscape, under one contract.
Interlock driveways, patios, steps, walls, drainage, gardens and turf — from one well-built patio to the whole property, front and back. Every project gets the same base, the same crew and a free 2D concept before it is quoted.
Complete property packages
The driveway and the beds. The patio and the grade behind it. One plan, one crew, one contract.
When the same crew does the hardscape and the landscape, the grades line up, the drainage is planned once, and nobody is pointing at the other trade. A complete package usually means:
- the driveway, entrance and walkway, or the patio and its steps and walls
- grading and drainage solved before any finish goes in
- sod, beds, decorative stone and planting to finish it
- fences, screens or a deck where the design calls for them
You see the whole property in one 2D concept before we quote it.
Patios, walkways and driveways
Interlock and flagstone laid on a base built for the load it carries.
A driveway carries vehicles; a patio carries furniture and people. The base is sized for each: excavated to full depth, granular compacted in lifts, edges restrained on a base that runs past the last paver. The finish — paver style, colour, banding, soldier-course borders — is the last decision, not the first.
Steps, retaining walls, grading and drainage
Slab steps and landings, seat walls and raised planters, armour stone, and the excavation that makes them stay put.
Retaining walls, raised planters and steps are only as good as what they sit on. We excavate, grade and drain first: weeping tile, catch basins, downspouts piped away from the house. Then the wall goes up plumb, and it is still plumb after the frost leaves.
Gardens, turf and planting
The finish that makes the hardscape look like it belongs.
Sod or artificial turf, garden beds with proper edging, decorative stone, boulders and planting — graded so water goes where it should. On a new build this is often the whole front yard; on an established home it is what ties a new patio into the property.
Fences, decks and gates
Composite and aluminum privacy fences, screens, gates and decks, built by the same crew.
Because the fence and the deck are built by the crew that graded the yard, posts land where the drainage allows and the deck meets the patio at the height the design intended.
Pools and outdoor kitchens
Designed into the same plan. Installed with specialist partners we coordinate.
A pool or an outdoor kitchen changes everything around it: the deck, the grades, the drainage, the walls, the planting. We design the full property around it, build the surrounding work and coordinate the specialist installers so the schedule and details stay under one plan.
Built for Ottawa frost
What is under the pavers decides how they look in six years.
Our repair work is other companies' six-year-old jobs. Three things we do on every build that you cannot see once it is finished.
Base built in lifts
Excavation to full depth, then granular base compacted in separate lifts over geotextile — not one thick layer packed once.
Water sent away first
Downspouts piped underground, the surface falling away from the wall, catch basins and weeping tile where the grade needs them.
Edges that hold
Edge restraint spiked into base that runs past the last paver — restraint spiked into topsoil lifts, and the outer course drifts.
